Frequently Asked Questions
Intro. You probably have a lot of questions.
What is the difference between your Hands Off option and using a regular real estate agent that charges 3%?
There isn't a difference in service, but there is a difference in price! List At Ease's flat rate fees are designed to save you money compared to a traditional listing agent. But when it comes to our Hands Off option, there is no difference in service compared to a traditional listing agent.
If I purchase a cheaper package but then decide i want to upgrade to Hands Off, is that possible?
Yes! At any time during the transaction, you can request to change your contract for an upgraded package.
How are you able to charge so much less than the traditional 3% listing fee?
We have a network of real estate agents who are committed to our mission of providing our clients with a cheaper option to sell their homes. We are utilizing technology to efficiently streamline the listing process between our clients and our cooperating listing agents so that they are able to handle higher volumes of sales
I'm interested in selling, but i don't know how much my home is worth, what do i do?
Contact us directly so that we can assist you in determining your home value prior to signing a listing agreement
What other costs in addition to the listing fee will I incur?
It's difficult to say upfront, as all transactions are different and negotiated in different ways. You will likely need to account for the % you want to offer a buyers agent who will be showing your home, potential buyers closings costs, potential repair costs, attorney and closing fees, any taxes/payments owed etc. For a more inclusive list of potential expenses, visit out NET SHEET CALCULATOR page
Who pays the buyer agent's fee in this transaction, and how much is it?
As part of your listing agreement, your listing agent will discuss what percentage you'd like to offer to a potential buyer's agent, if any. Your listing agent will be able to advise you on average buyer agent's commissions for your area and for your particular property, as well as the pros and cons for that amount, but the decision is ultimately the sellers to make.
I've never served in the military or been a first responder, but i have a family member who is/does, am I eligible?
Yes! Our services are offered to anyone who has served themselves or is a family member of one who has served.
Is there a maximum amount i can sell my home for to qualify for your flat listing fee?
NO! Whether you are selling a home for $200,000 or $2,000,000, our listing fee remains the same!
When do I pay for the service?
If you select our Listing Software, you will pay that amount upfront. For our other options, our fee is collected upon the successful sale of your home. The amount will come directly out of the funds from the sale of your home at the closing.
I've never sold a home before, do you have a package you recommend?
Your listing agent will provide amazing service regardless of the package you choose, but for inexperienced sellers, we often recommend the Hands Off package due to having enhanced communication with your agent. Often, first time/inexperienced sellers have a number of questions throughout the process and want to remain as up to date and informed as possible. If you feel like this describes you, we would recommend the Hands Off package.
